Requirements

  • 5-8 years of product design experience with a track record of shipping well-designed products.
  • Portfolio of three or more case studies or projects showing complex problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Figma proficiency, including component-driven architecture, variables, and interactive prototypes.
  • Track record of taking ownership of ambiguous problems without being handed a spec.
  • Sophisticated design and interaction craft, with UX, UI, visual, and accessibility fundamentals.
  • Experience with design system extension and growth.
  • Ability to use workflows and mapping to justify design decisions.
  • Comfort operating independently as the design lead on a project with minimal oversight.
  • Willingness to reflect on past projects and articulate what you would do differently.
  • Experience designing AI-native, agentic, or conversational products (preferred).
  • Experience with data-dense enterprise or analytics products (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of front-end concepts such as components, tokens, and responsive behavior (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Own ambiguous, loosely scoped design problems end to end across multiple concurrent projects with minimal direction.
  • Serve as the primary design point of contact on engagements, shaping UX at kickoff and transitioning ownership as work matures.
  • Define interaction patterns for agent-driven experiences, including user interactions, response structures, and error handling.
  • Leverage and extend the design system and component library to support product and engineering teams.
  • Establish design prototypes in Figma, Claude, or code to set frameworks for project teams.
  • Lead UX reviews of features, agent responses, and layouts to ensure high-quality output before shipping.
  • Use workflows, journey maps, and service mapping to ground design rationale and align cross-functional partners.
  • Help shape scope, timelines, and cross-functional alignment with Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Success.
  • Mentor less experienced designers and raise the standard of critique.
