Requirements
- Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent) in life sciences, medicine, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in scientific publications, medical communications, or medical affairs within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
- Strong expertise in real-world evidence publications, including experience publishing observational studies, registry data, and HEOR findings.
- Proven track record of contributing to publication strategies and delivering high-impact peer-reviewed publications and congress materials.
- Deep understanding of scientific writing, data interpretation, and statistical concepts related to clinical and real-world research.
- Familiarity with publication management systems (e.g.: iEnvision) and strong knowledge of industry guidelines and best practices (GPP, ICMJE, etc.).
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel (25%) to attend SF headquarters and conferences.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of the publication strategy for studies (primarily RWE but may include clinical and preclinical), helping ensure alignment with medical strategic objectives and compliance with industry best practices (e.g., GPP, ICMJE, PRISMA, CONSORT, etc.).
- Manage the development, review, and submission of manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations across real-world evidence studies, and health economics outcomes research (HEOR) preclinical and clinical trials.
- Collaborate with internal and external authors, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and research partners to develop high-impact scientific publications.
- Support timely and high-quality execution of publication plans, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders and external agencies.
- Support the development of medical communication materials for the medical affairs team and cross-functional partners, including timely provision of information and resources needed for internal training.
- Support identification of opportunities for integrating RWE into the broader scientific communication strategy.
