Job Details

Minimum 7 years of experience as a Database Administrator in high-performance production environments.
Deep technical expertise in MSSQL (including SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS), PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.
Experience managing databases in GCP and AWS environments.
Proven track record of improving query performance and reducing cloud infrastructure costs.
Extensive experience implementing and testing failover clusters, replication, and backup/recovery strategies.
Expert scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Proficiency in engine-level logic: T-SQL, PL/pgSQL, MySQL Procedural, and MQL.
Experience with observability platforms like New Relic or native cloud monitoring tools.
Experience working in audited environments (SOC2, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS).
Willingness to participate in on-call rotations.
Experience with AI coding assistants and automated tuning agents.

Deploy, configure, and maintain CloudSQL/PostgreSQL, MSSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB environments.
Optimize databases through query tuning and instance right-sizing to drive cost-efficiency.
Implement security controls including encryption, row-level security, and PII masking for SOC2 and GDPR compliance.
Design and execute High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies.
Integrate database observability into global monitoring stacks and infrastructure-as-code ecosystems.
Lead complex data migrations and schema changes with minimal downtime.
Partner with application architects on scalable data model design and mentor developers on schema deployment.
Manage workflows via Jira and define key performance and reliability metrics.
