Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer with a track record of shipping and operating production systems.
- Hands-on experience with generative AI applications including structured outputs, function/tool calling, prompt design, RAG, and model routing.
- Strong systems fundamentals including APIs, distributed systems, queues, data stores, and service ownership.
- Experience defining offline datasets and online metrics for AI system evaluation.
- Fluent with AI coding tools and code-assistant workflows.
- Ability to communicate complex AI system trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Extensive development experience in general-purpose languages such as Python, Golang, Rust, Java, or JavaScript.
Responsibilities
- Design and ship advertiser-facing AI features and platform end-to-end, from prototype to GA.
- Make architectural decisions on generative AI application, including LLM calls, workflows, agent loops, and retrieval systems.
- Build for LLM failure modes through structured outputs, tool boundaries, retries, and human-in-the-loop systems.
- Define offline and online evals, instrument traces, run A/B tests, and connect model metrics to business outcomes.
- Design for data isolation, permissioning, and auditability in AI-driven actions.
- Partner with PM, Design, Data Science, and ML teams to ship concrete, shippable systems.
