Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience, Master's with 6 years, or High School diploma/equivalent with 12 years.
- 5+ years of financial analysis experience, with at least 3 years focused on cloud cost management on AWS.
- Proven experience implementing resource right-sizing at scale with quantified cost outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience producing consolidated cost reports, chargeback models, and fiscal year projections.
- Experience participating in cloud architectural reviews and providing cost estimates.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and forecasting.
- FinOps Certified Practitioner or Professional preferred.
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Solutions Architect Associate preferred.
- Experience with third-party FinOps tools such as Apptio Cloudability, CloudHealth, or Vantage preferred.
- Experience with Kubernetes and container cost allocation tools preferred.
Responsibilities
- Analyze utilization data from AWS Cost Explorer, Compute Optimizer, Trusted Advisor, and CloudWatch to identify right-sizing opportunities.
- Develop prioritized right-sizing recommendations and partner with engineering owners to implement them.
- Manage Reserved Instance and Savings Plan strategy.
- Design and manage chargeback and showback models for cost allocation.
- Develop executive dashboards and program-level scorecards using AWS Cost and Usage Reports.
- Develop fiscal-year cloud spend projections and manage budget utilization.
- Automate recurring cost analysis and reporting using Python or SQL.
