Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 12+ years of experience managing large capital projects in food manufacturing or industrial bakery operations.
- Demonstrated expertise in project controls, cost management, and scheduling.
- Strong vendor and contractor management skills.
- Knowledge of food safety, OSHA, and environmental compliance.
- Ability to travel up to 70% with some overnight travel as required.
- Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field (preferred).
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Lead capital project development and execution across a regional network of bakeries.
- Manage annual multi-million dollar CapEx budgets.
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Finance to prioritize and resource projects effectively.
- Ensure projects are delivered on-time, within budget, and in compliance with food safety and regulatory standards.
- Direct external engineering firms, contractors, and OEMs through FEL/FEED and project execution phases.
- Implement project management best practices including scope, risk, and change management.
- Provide leadership and coaching to project engineers and support staff.
- Ensure strong collaboration with bakery leadership teams to minimize operational disruption.
