Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Technical Program Manager or Product/Program Manager embedded within a security engineering organization.
  • Experience working with security teams that build and operate technical tooling and systems internally.
  • Strong understanding of computer engineering and technical fundamentals, with the ability to engage deeply with engineers on complex technical topics.
  • Familiarity with security domains such as detection and response, corporate security, and product security.
  • Demonstrated ability to define, structure, and communicate complex technical programs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong prioritization, planning, backlog management, and organizational skills.
  • Sound judgment when evaluating competing priorities, risks, dependencies, and business needs.
  • Ability to operate as a trusted technical liaison between specialized security teams and a larger, distributed engineering organization.
  • Strong cross-functional communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-trust, high-accountability environment with significant individual ownership.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and creating structure where processes and functions are still being established.
  • Ability to balance technical depth with program-level thinking and business impact.

Responsibilities

  • Define, communicate, and maintain the security program strategy, priorities, objectives, and progress across the broader business.
  • Establish program structures, metrics, and success criteria that enable security leadership to make informed prioritization and investment decisions.
  • Manage priorities, backlogs, dependencies, and execution across detection and response, corporate security, and product security initiatives.
  • Partner with security engineering leadership to develop roadmaps, establish program rituals, track progress, and remove cross-team blockers.
  • Serve as the technical liaison between security engineers and the broader engineering organization, translating security risks and requirements into actionable technical priorities.
  • Facilitate communication between specialized security teams and product engineering teams to ensure alignment and effective execution.
  • Help evaluate and introduce new security tools, coordinating activities from vendor procurement through implementation and adoption.
  • Drive programs that improve the effectiveness, scalability, and operational maturity of the security engineering organization.
  • Support the development and maintenance of company-wide security priorities, including oversight of the Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) program.
