Requirements

  • Proven experience in institutional giving, grantmaking, or fundraising partnerships.
  • Ability to manage complex written deliverables and funder relationships.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to translate complex information clearly.
  • Experience using CRM software, project management tools, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
  • Equity-minded approach when considering power, access, and representation in fundraising.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for tracking data and maintaining records.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and manage sensitive information.
  • Mission-driven interest in supporting social innovation and community-focused work.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of institutional funders including foundations, family foundations, and corporate partners.
  • Draft and oversee grant proposals and reports including both narrative and financial components.
  • Coordinate with Programs, Finance, and Communications teams to gather necessary data for donor engagement.
  • Maintain institutional giving records, proposal tracking, and deadlines within Salesforce and other project management tools.
  • Conduct prospect research on new funders to assess alignment with organizational values and priorities.
  • Prepare briefing materials, talking points, and stewardship communications for donor meetings and events.
