Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Medical Assistant certification (CCMA, AAMA, or equivalent) preferred
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and multiple technology platforms
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, remote environment
- Enthusiasm for joining a growing startup and contributing to innovative care models
- Reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace suitable for remote work
- Bilingual: English/Spanish
Responsibilities
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments across the care team using EHR and scheduling systems
- Respond to patient inquiries regarding appointment availability and reschedule as needed
- Track and reduce no-show rates by sending reminders and proactive outreach to families
- Gather, organize, and maintain patient intake forms, medical histories, and relevant documentation
- Verify patient information is complete and accurate in the EHR system before clinical visits
- Reach out to referring providers to establish care, obtain medical records, and clarify patient history
- Support care coordination by communicating appointment outcomes and updates to referring providers
- Track referral status and follow up on outstanding items with external providers
