Requirements
- Advanced degree or actuarial credentials (ASA, FSA, MAAA) preferred but not required with equivalent depth.
- Proven experience proving ROI and value inside a telehealth or digital health company, or from the payer/consulting side.
- Hands-on experience measuring clinical outcomes and quality across populations (HEDIS and chronic condition measures).
- Deep expertise with healthcare claims data (medical and pharmacy/Rx) for cost and utilization analysis.
- Deep expertise in causal inference: matched cohort design, risk adjustment, and quasi-experimental methods.
- Direct experience presenting and defending ROI methodology to payers or technical external audiences.
- Strong proficiency working directly with data using SQL, R, or Python.
- Experience with value-based care arrangements.
- Familiarity with AI-native tooling to accelerate analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
Responsibilities
- Measure clinical outcomes across member populations including weight loss, A1c, blood pressure, food insecurity, and HEDIS measures.
- Develop and own the ROI methodology to translate clinical outcomes into economic value for payers.
- Represent and defend methodology directly to payers, external actuaries, and consulting firms.
- Shape value-based care strategy and identify target populations for performance commitments.
- Build a scalable, repeatable outcomes and ROI methodology system for client reporting.
- Partner on peer-reviewed research with academic collaborators.
- Translate data findings and best practices into clinical care delivery workflows.
- Lead and mentor a small team while maintaining hands-on involvement in analytical work.
