Requirements
- 7+ years of product management experience shipping products for external customers.
- Demonstrated record of owning a business or product metric and changing its trajectory.
- Experience building products from zero to one without a defined spec or playbook.
- Technical depth equivalent to a degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience in system architecture.
- Ability to operate at both strategic multi-year and tactical screen-flow levels.
- Executive-level communication skills, with experience presenting and defending strategy to leadership and customers.
- Based in a North American time zone (Europe may be considered).
- Experience building mobile products for field work in loud, time-pressured, or offline conditions is preferred.
- Proven habit of primary research and observing customers in their environment.
- Experience with hardware-software dependent products.
- Experience instrumenting funnels and running experiments.
Responsibilities
- Own the three-year vision for device installation and provisioning across new products and geographies.
- Define and drive install correctness metrics, instrumenting the funnel to ensure attributable outcomes.
- Own the guided install and verification flow in the Samsara Fleet app for both professional and customer-led installs.
- Build verification intelligence to validate camera aim, wiring, and signal quality during installation.
- Provide operations leaders with visibility into fleet readiness, install status, and data production.
- Conduct field research through ride-alongs and customer yard sessions to inform hardware, firmware, and software roadmaps.
