Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- Approximately 7–10 years of experience in financial analysis, loan structuring, underwriting, and portfolio management.
- 3–5 years of specific experience in SBA lending administration.
- Strong knowledge of SBA loan programs, SOPs, credit policies, and lending regulations.
- Ability to analyze financial statements and cash flow to make lending recommendations.
- Proficiency with financial spreading and credit analysis tools such as Moody’s or Baker Hill.
- Experience with banking technologies including 360 View, Navigator, Director, nCino, and Statement Analyzer.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including occasional evenings or weekends.
- Ability to travel up to 10% as needed.
Responsibilities
- Review loan documentation and analyze business and personal financial statements, cash flow, and financial data.
- Assess credit risks and mitigating factors, providing clear recommendations through the credit approval process.
- Evaluate and decide on SBA Express Line of Credit renewal requests.
- Monitor the loan portfolio for red flags and manage past-due accounts to minimize losses.
- Review loans approaching maturity and collaborate with clients and bankers on renewal decisions.
- Work with Special Assets Officers to develop action plans for deteriorating loans.
- Complete annual reviews of borrowing relationships according to SBA procedures.
- Mentor junior servicing team members and contribute to portfolio initiatives.
