Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive public company accounting or Big Four experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA certification required.
- Deep knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements (10-K/10-Q/8-K).
- Expertise in ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 805 (business combinations), ASC 718, and income taxes.
- Proven experience writing technical accounting memos and complex issue resolution.
- Hands-on experience with disclosure management and XBRL tools.
- Strong Excel and financial reporting system skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with auditors and audit committees.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain Security Clearance.
Responsibilities
- Lead preparation and review of SEC filings and disclosure deliverables, including Form 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and registration statements.
- Perform and document technical accounting research on complex or novel transactions such as business combinations, leases, and share-based compensation.
- Draft technical accounting memoranda summarizing guidance, conclusions, and sensitivity analyses.
- Develop and communicate accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls, driving SOX remediation and testing.
- Partner with FP&A and accounting teams to prepare reconciliations, EPS calculations, and supporting schedules.
- Manage relationships with external auditors and assist in audit committee preparations.
- Monitor and interpret new FASB and SEC guidance, leading implementation projects and training.
