Requirements
- 5–10 years of industry experience in computer vision and machine learning.
- Deep expertise in modern computer vision (object detection, semantic segmentation, image classification, vision transformers, foundation models, and similarity search).
- Proven track record of deploying and maintaining ML models in production.
- Demonstrated ability to read ML research papers and implement the key ideas.
- Proficiency in Python and the core ML stack (PyTorch, Lightning, OpenCV, NumPy, pandas, Scikit-Learn, FastAPI).
- Strong software engineering practices (Git, Pytest, CI/CD, Docker, and Python type hinting).
- Proven ability to own technical projects independently from start to finish.
- Ability to debug training instabilities and conduct systematic error analysis.
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver end-to-end computer vision projects focused on equipment defect detection, thermal anomaly identification, vegetation encroachment, and surveillance.
- Scope, plan, and execute projects from problem framing through production deployment and monitoring.
- Stay current with ML/CV research to identify, adapt, and benchmark novel algorithms for production viability.
- Design and execute systematic experiments, including hyperparameter tuning, ablation studies, and structured error analysis.
- Develop production-grade Python libraries, data pipelines, and model serving infrastructure.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and maintain software quality standards within the ML team.
- Communicate research findings, technical decisions, and model limitations to stakeholders.
