Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in safety and training, preferably within the transportation industry.
- Proven experience in recruiting drivers across different US states.
- Solid understanding of the trucking industry.
- Expertise in HOS (Hours of Service) and DOT regulations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of driver hiring processes, CDL documentation, and labor market policies.
- Ability to perform driver background checks and road tests.
- At least three years of truck driving experience is an asset.
- Previous experience in driver training and safety/compliance is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for drivers and maintain a candidate pool.
- Source, screen, and interview driver candidates via cold calling, email, and digital resources.
- Ensure compliance with company, client, OSHA, and DOT regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct driver road tests and provide necessary training and orientation.
- Perform facility safety inspections and investigate vehicle accidents or employee injuries.
- Develop and implement accident and injury prevention plans and programs.
- Manage driver hours to minimize overtime while meeting delivery metrics.
- Coordinate and present monthly driver safety meetings.
