Requirements
- Deep experience in music rights, metadata, and/or collective management.
- Knowledge of music industry mechanics including splits, share pictures, composition vs. recording rights, and CMO/publisher payment models.
- Proven experience building and managing senior relationships with rights-holders, clients, or industry stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to translate client insights into product, business, and commercial decisions.
- Comfort with data and technical detail, including the ability to read datasets, query numbers, and explain them to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to communicate clearly and maintain composure in a fast-moving, startup environment.
- Experience working with artists, labels, publishers, CMOs/PROs, or music-tech companies preferred.
- Experience in client/QA, business operations, client relations, or strategic partnerships preferred.
- Familiarity with metadata or rights standards initiatives.
- Experience working directly with C-level executives on client strategy.
- Experience with Google Workspace, CRM tools, calendar tools, and expense systems (e.g., Concur).
Responsibilities
- Own Sureel's most important rights-holder relationships, building trust with senior leaders and understanding their priorities, business models, and AI rights strategies.
- Lead partners through pilots and implementations, coordinating testing, data reviews, product feedback, onboarding, and decision-making.
- Understand how rights-holders use Sureel, identifying value drivers, friction points, and platform improvements.
- Bring partner needs into product development, translating requirements and feedback into clear input for Product, Engineering, and AI teams.
- Translate Sureel's attribution and payout models for partners, helping them understand data and its business application.
- Identify patterns across partner conversations to influence product, commercial strategy, and industry direction.
- Develop approaches, processes, and tools to scale the partner network effectively.
- Own the quality of partner-facing data and reporting to ensure accuracy and trust.
- Identify opportunities for deeper relationships and increased platform adoption.
- Represent Sureel in senior partner meetings and industry settings.
