Requirements
- Proven experience as a Construction Estimator, preferably with significant experience estimating large ground-up construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, scopes, quantities, labor, materials, and subcontractor pricing.
- Demonstrated ability to produce accurate and detailed estimates independently.
- Strong experience working with subcontractors and vendors.
- Excellent spoken English with clear, professional communication that is easy for American clients and subcontractors to understand.
- Strong conversational skills and the confidence to lead professional conversations with American subcontractors and clients.
- Ability to explain technical construction and pricing information clearly to non-technical clients.
- Excellent work ethic, highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple estimates, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.
- Proficient with estimating and construction-related software and technology.
- Experience working directly with U.S.-based construction companies, general contractors, subcontractors, or clients.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for larger ground-up construction projects.
- Review plans, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project documents to develop comprehensive estimates.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and accurately determine material, labor, subcontractor, and other project costs.
- Solicit, review, and compare subcontractor and vendor pricing.
- Communicate directly with American subcontractors and vendors to clarify scope, pricing, availability, and project requirements.
- Identify gaps, inconsistencies, exclusions, and potential cost risks within project documents and bids.
- Develop and maintain detailed estimates, budgets, and pricing documentation.
- Work closely with clients to understand project requirements and clearly explain estimates, pricing, assumptions, and recommendations.
- Present estimates in a clear, organized, and easy-to-understand manner.
- Take full ownership of the estimating process and proactively manage deadlines.
