Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of software engineering experience, or Master's with 5+ years.
- Advanced knowledge and 3+ years experience building/maintaining production TypeScript and Node.js services.
- Experience designing and operating microservices-based systems, including event-driven architecture.
- Strong understanding of PostgreSQL database schemas, transactions, indexing, and migration strategies.
- Experience with containerized, cloud-based systems (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, AWS).
- Proficiency with GraphQL.
- Experience with unit and end-to-end testing frameworks such as Jest, Vitest, or Playwright.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD, source control, monitoring, observability, and technical documentation practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical work and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Production experience with Kafka or comparable event-streaming platforms is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with AI coding tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot) is preferred.
- Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or regulated diagnostic settings is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and clinical teams to align software solutions with user and operational needs.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable backend software solutions.
- Implement and execute end-to-end testing for software components.
- Monitor performance, reliability, and scalability of systems while proactively identifying improvements.
- Participate in design and code reviews.
- Support production deployments and troubleshoot complex issues via root-cause analysis.
- Identify technical risks and provide recommendations for informed engineering decisions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the engineering lifecycle and internal tooling.
