Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience delivering production software.
- Depth in Go or TypeScript, with the ability to quickly pick up the other.
- Experience designing, versioning, and evolving RESTful APIs.
- Fluent with PostgreSQL and large analytical datasets.
- Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and system design.
- Production experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, and EC2.
- Strong writing skills for technical specifications and design documentation.
- Full lifecycle fluency including code review, source control, and CI/CD.
- Experience owning testing, observability, and on-call responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Take work from ambiguous business intent through to a shipped, operated service.
- Own production outcomes for Investigations including reliability, performance, and cost.
- Troubleshoot customer-reported issues.
- Make and defend design decisions for the module.
- Set technical direction, including specs, context, and guardrails for AI-generated work.
- Own verification processes for AI-generated code and plans.
- Mentor engineers and improve team processes, including AI tooling and evaluation harnesses.
