Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in data engineering and enterprise architecture.
- 5+ years of direct people management leading agile engineering teams.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience building production data solutions natively on GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Airflow, Dataproc, Cloud Storage).
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Practical experience deploying data pipelines for LLMs, vector search indexing, and GenAI workflows.
- Proficiency with Apache Beam, PySpark, and NoSQL databases.
- Proven track record in data modeling, ELT/ETL, real-time streaming, and Medallion/Lakehouse architectures.
- Experience with Terraform for infrastructure, CI/CD, and enterprise data security (IAM, KMS, Knowledge Catalog).
- Strong consultative and stakeholder management skills.
- Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the technical vision for the GCP Data Engineering functional practice.
- Oversee the design and deployment of enterprise data platforms using services like BigQuery, Dataflow, and Dataproc.
- Partner with AI teams to build production-grade data pipelines, vector search infrastructure, and RAG frameworks.
- Implement GCP-native data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
- Act as a GCP Data SME during pre-sales, client workshops, and delivery engagements.
- Establish CI/CD, IaC using Terraform, and automated monitoring for data assets.
- Manage, mentor, and scale an agile team of GCP Data Engineers.
