Requirements
- 2+ years managing organic social or community strategy with a heavy emphasis on Reddit.
- Deep understanding of Reddit dynamics including karma, subreddit rules, and automods.
- Experience in consumer tech, fintech, or insurtech preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to write naturally for Redditors and avoid corporate-speak.
- Understanding of how Reddit content impacts search indexability, Google SGE, and LLMs.
- Ability to build long-term trust through high-value educational content rather than quick conversion.
- Thick-skinned and empathetic approach to handling public pushback and tough questions.
- Must currently reside in one of the approved locations in the US or Canada.
Responsibilities
- Own Jerry’s official presence across Reddit, including brand-owned subreddits and organic engagement.
- Establish Jerry’s Reddit voice, determining strategy for technical advice, meme usage, and community interaction.
- Craft high-effort, informative text posts, guides, and visual breakdowns on car ownership, insurance, and maintenance.
- Perform reputation and crisis management by responding to threads in a transparent and helpful manner.
- Track engagement metrics including Karma growth, thread sentiment, share of voice, and referral traffic.
- Feed organic Reddit insights and trending topics back to internal Product and Content teams.
