Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized engineering university or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience using Python for ad-hoc data analysis, investigation, and automation.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and operational investigations.
- Practical knowledge of SQL.
- Understanding of financial markets and exchange-traded and OTC derivatives (forwards, futures, options).
- Familiarity with multiple asset classes (interest rates, commodities, credit, equities, FX).
- Working knowledge of cloud technologies, particularly AWS (Step Functions, Lambda, EC2, DynamoDB).
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical capabilities.
- Good English communication skills for client and team collaboration.
- Ability to work in a remote environment and willingness to work US shift (approx. 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM MST).
Responsibilities
- Define, implement, and execute standard operating procedures for market data operations and client support processes.
- Monitor daily market data deliveries, including intraday and end-of-day snapshots, batch processes, scheduled runs, and data feeds.
- Optimize existing operational processes and automate repetitive or manual data checks.
- Respond to and investigate market data-related operational requests and technical data quality issues.
- Coordinate with developers, vendors, and stakeholders to resolve complex data issues and platform releases.
- Act as Incident Manager for market data incidents, leading root cause analyses and post-mortem reviews.
- Support financial institution clients with API-related investigations and production readiness activities.
