Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in application security, product security, or related security engineering.
  • 5+ years of people management or technical leadership experience.
  • Deep technical knowledge of secure architecture, threat modeling, OWASP Top 10, and secure SDLC.
  • Experience securing cloud-native SaaS products and containerized infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proficiency with AWS or similar cloud environment security.
  • Experience using AI/automation for security coverage, including vulnerability triage or code review.
  • Working knowledge of modern programming languages (Ruby, TypeScript, or Rust preferred).
  • Experience with SAST, DAST, SCA, secrets detection, and CI/CD security integrations.
  • Background in operating bug bounty or vulnerability disclosure programs.
  • Strong communication skills for reporting security risks and metrics to executive leadership.
  • Experience securing AI/ML systems or agentic workflows is highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the product security strategy, roadmap, operating model, and success metrics.
  • Lead, hire, mentor, and develop a team of product security engineers.
  • Partner with Engineering, Product, and Infrastructure teams to provide risk-based security guidance.
  • Establish scalable security practices including threat modeling, architecture reviews, and secure SDLC.
  • Drive the product vulnerability management lifecycle, including penetration tests and bug bounty programs.
  • Build automated security tooling and CI/CD integrations to enable secure-by-default development.
  • Provide product security leadership during incidents and coordinate investigations.
  • Develop AI/ML security controls to address risks like prompt injection and model abuse.
