Responsibilities
- Design and deliver complex, business-critical automations and integrations connecting core enterprise systems, including AI-powered and agent-based workflows.
- Evaluate ambiguous technical challenges, select appropriate approaches, document technical decisions, and clearly communicate options, risks, and tradeoffs.
- Identify underlying structural issues such as fragile integrations, workflow gaps, and unclear data contracts, addressing root causes rather than isolated incidents.
- Develop reusable integration patterns, shared components, agent building blocks, permission models, fallback mechanisms, and other foundations that can be adopted across IT.
- Establish and evolve technical standards for authentication, error handling, testing, agent permissions, human approvals, and other governance practices in partnership with Security and Compliance.
- Own monitoring, alerting, production reliability, and incident response for critical automations and agent-based systems, leading investigations and remediation when issues occur.
- Act as a senior escalation point for complex IT systems challenges while reducing recurring issues through automation, better tooling, and root-cause improvements.
- Partner with engineering, product, security, and business stakeholders to shape integration strategies and reach sound technical decisions without relying on formal authority.
- Build productive relationships with vendors and technology partners, staying informed about relevant platform capabilities and roadmaps.
- Mentor IT Systems Engineers through design reviews, pairing, documentation, and technical guidance, while helping broader teams develop automation and AI-agent capabilities.
