Requirements
- 2–3+ years of direct people management experience leading software engineers.
- At least 3 years of software development experience.
- Proven experience hiring, interviewing, and developing high-performing technical teams.
- Professional experience in cybersecurity, specifically vulnerability research, analysis, or offensive security.
- Deep practical understanding of vulnerability classes such as RCE, authentication bypasses, deserialization, and SSRF.
- Strong production software engineering background, particularly with Python, Git, and effective engineering workflows.
- Experience leveraging AI harnesses, LLM workflows, or agentic frameworks to accelerate research.
- Ability to evaluate complex technical designs and maintain standards for production-ready software.
- Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL or Neo4j, and SQL.
- Strong technical writing, prioritization, and communication skills.
- Experience collaborating with Product Management and customer-facing teams.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 10%.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a diverse team of Attack Engineers working across vulnerability research and agentic software engineering.
- Set technical direction, priorities, engineering standards, and quality expectations for vulnerability research and AI-native automation pipelines.
- Manage daily triage and prioritization of emerging CVEs and zero-day vulnerabilities, establishing operating rhythms for analysis and exploit development.
- Drive the design and implementation of AI-powered research harnesses, LLM workflows, and automated pipelines to accelerate vulnerability discovery.
- Partner with Product Management and field teams to translate offensive security research into reliable, high-quality product capabilities.
- Analyze attack data and threat trends to prioritize research and measure effectiveness of security coverage.
- Balance rapid execution with production-safe engineering practices to ensure high standards of quality and security.
- Support hiring and organizational growth while fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical rigor.
