Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, or data architecture roles.
- 2+ years of experience in a leadership or management capacity.
- Proficiency with SQL and Python.
- 3+ years of experience with data visualization and BI tools such as Looker.
- Proven experience with modern data integration tools, ETL/ELT frameworks, and cloud data platforms.
- Deep understanding of data pipeline architectures, dimensional data modeling, and ELT best practices.
- Experience with data quality management, automated testing frameworks, and continuous observability tools.
- Familiarity with data governance principles, zero-trust security models, and compliance standards.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manage, mentor, and grow a multi-disciplinary team of data engineers and data scientists.
- Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines, data architecture, and data science models.
- Partner with the Analytics team to design data models and infrastructure for Looker.
- Act as a liaison between the data team and stakeholders to gather requirements and prioritize requests.
- Define and evolve the core data warehousing architecture strategy using Snowflake.
- Lead the development and enforcement of data quality standards, data governance, and security/compliance practices.
- Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for data engineering and data science.
- Contribute directly to data engineering and data science codebases on high-impact projects.
