Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of data engineering/data-platform experience.
- 2+ years of technical leadership and mentoring experience.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark.
- Strong experience with dbt, Apache Airflow, and AWS Glue.
- Deep expertise in data architecture, modeling (star schemas/dimensional), and warehousing.
- Experience with dashboarding and BI tools like Sigma or Looker.
- Strong backend engineering fundamentals (APIs, distributed systems).
- Proven experience in data quality ownership (testing, monitoring, reconciliation).
- Experience working directly with customers and cross-functional stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a global team across data engineering, analytics, and BI.
- Own the architecture, reliability, and evolution of the analytical data platform.
- Build scalable batch and event-driven pipelines for diverse data sources.
- Establish data-quality practices including lineage, monitoring, and incident response.
- Deliver dashboards, reports, and self-service datasets.
- Partner with clinical, operations, and product stakeholders.
- Lead customer-facing discussions regarding reporting and data metrics.
