Requirements
- Master’s degree in Spanish Language, Spanish Literature, or a directly related discipline.
- Native to near-native fluency in Spanish.
- At least 10 years of experience in standardized assessment development or related work.
- Experience with digital assessment and teaching.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with technical proficiency.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills, including project management and tracking.
- Demonstrated ability to implement processes, procedures, and manage project schedules.
- Ability to travel 6-8 times per year, plus up to two additional weeks for the AP Reading.
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for emerging technologies, including AI-driven solutions.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across all levels of an organization.
Responsibilities
- Serve as assessment leader for AP Spanish Language and Spanish Literature with responsibility for assessment development and final approval.
- Independently lead processes for authoring and revising assessment content, leveraging generative AI to improve efficiencies.
- Manage the development of formative and summative assessments through iterative review stages with internal and external stakeholders.
- Train and supervise Test Development Committee members in content development and review.
- Lead the scoring of student responses for AP Exams at the annual in-person and online 'AP Reading' event.
- Collaborate with psychometrics to establish fair, reliable, and valid cut scores.
- Provide formal training and mentoring to other Course Experts within the AP department.
