Requirements
- 1-2 years of professional experience in software testing, QA, or automation.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted engineering tools (e.g., AI coding agents, evaluation harnesses).
- Working knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Exposure to or coursework in CI/CD concepts.
- Experience with, or willingness to learn, Playwright and load testing tools like Grafana k6.
- Interest in learning Kafka, Istio service meshes, and API testing practices.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent practical experience/bootcamp.
- Enthusiasm for automation-first testing and learning from senior engineers.
Responsibilities
- Write and maintain automated tests for APIs, UI, and service-level validation using TypeScript, Node.js, and Playwright.
- Support the build-out of load and resilience testing suites with Grafana k6 to benchmark distributed systems.
- Integrate test execution into GitHub Actions pipelines for automated runs on commits and deployments.
- Gain hands-on exposure to distributed-systems testing including Kafka event flows, service mocking, and contract validation.
- Maintain test observability dashboards in Grafana and interpret quality metrics.
- Perform exploratory testing to identify edge cases.
- Collaborate with developers, SREs, and product managers to improve platform understanding.
