Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in healthcare network contracting, including working with health systems, hospitals, or national providers.
- 2+ years of experience managing complex Provider Network strategies and negotiating complex contracts.
- 2+ years of people management experience.
- 2+ years of experience in Health Insurance (Individual and/or Medicare Advantage) and/or the Healthcare industry.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional working experience.
- Working knowledge of provider financial issues and contracting policies.
- Ability to perform frequent local travel for client meetings.
- Ability to manage cross-functional relationships with providers and internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Implement contracting strategies to align with network adequacy, development, and cost management objectives.
- Manage and negotiate contracts with assigned healthcare providers, ensuring favorable terms and compliance.
- Oversee, mentor, and provide training for a small team of contracting associates and specialists.
- Conduct comprehensive reviews and analyses of provider contracts to identify optimization opportunities.
- Utilize data and analytics on provider financial issues and competitor strategies to inform negotiations.
- Monitor key performance metrics for network, cost, and provider satisfaction to report to leadership.
- Ensure timely resolution of provider issues related to contract terms and reimbursement.
