Requirements
- 4+ years in healthcare network contracting, including executing contracts with health systems, hospitals, or national providers.
- 4+ years of experience in provider relations or network management.
- 2+ years of experience managing complex Provider Network strategies and negotiating complex contracts.
- 2+ years of people management experience.
- 2+ years of experience in Health Insurance (Individual and/or Medicare Advantage) or the broader healthcare industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and understanding of provider financial issues.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with providers, hospitals, and health systems.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional working experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Implement contracting strategies to meet network adequacy, development, and cost management objectives.
- Manage and negotiate contracts with healthcare providers to ensure favorable terms and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee, mentor, and provide strategic guidance to a team of contracting associates and specialists.
- Conduct comprehensive reviews and analyses of provider contracts to identify optimization opportunities.
- Utilize data and financial analytics to inform negotiation decisions and team strategy.
- Monitor network performance metrics and provide regular reports to leadership.
- Resolve provider issues related to contract terms, reimbursement, and network participation.
- Build and maintain positive, stable, and high-quality relationships with healthcare providers.
