Requirements
- Proven experience contributing art to the development and launch of at least one AA or AAA game.
- Proven experience supporting a released game and delivering live or post-launch content.
- Strong hands-on game art production skills.
- Expertise in game-art pipelines and technical requirements for asset integration.
- Experience leading, mentoring, and reviewing the work of other artists.
- Ability to estimate production tasks, identify risks, and communicate issues clearly.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with client art leadership and stakeholders.
- Experience working cross-functionally with design, animation, and technical art teams.
- Proficiency with industry-standard art tools such as Maya, Blender, ZBrush, Substance, Photoshop, Unreal Engine, or Unity.
Responsibilities
- Lead small, cross-disciplinary teams of 6-15 developers to deliver game art assets.
- Establish and maintain a consistent visual quality bar across all art assets.
- Review work, provide constructive feedback, and mentor artists of varying experience levels.
- Estimate and plan art tasks, identify production risks early, and solve day-to-day implementation issues.
- Contribute directly to production by creating or finishing art assets as needed.
- Collaborate with client leadership, production, engineering, and technical art teams.
- Participate in client discovery and planning meetings to evaluate scope and technical requirements.
