Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in energy policy, regulatory affairs, market strategy, or related field.
- Experience with ISO/RTO market structures and electricity industry regulatory frameworks.
- Direct experience engaging in MISO and SPP markets.
- Experience in distributed energy resources, battery storage, or large-load customers.
- Experience participating in ISO/RTO market committees and drafting regulatory filings.
- Experience tracking legislative developments.
- Ability to communicate complex regulatory matters to business and executive audiences.
- Demonstrated stakeholder engagement, coalition-building, and advocacy skills.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
Responsibilities
- Establish regulatory and policy priorities aligned with Calibrant commercial objectives.
- Provide strategic guidance regarding legislative and regulatory developments affecting distributed energy resources, storage, and large-load customers.
- Lead engagement with ISO/RTO market committees, utilities, and stakeholders in MISO and SPP.
- Represent Calibrant in stakeholder meetings, industry committees, technical conferences, and trade associations.
- Advocate for regulatory and policy outcomes that support business growth, project development, and customer solutions.
- Coordinate consultants, lobbyists, and external advisors to support regulatory initiatives and strategic objectives.
- Partner with Market Development, Project Delivery, Market Operations, and Commercial teams on strategy and execution.
- Interface with utilities, transmission owners, ISOs/RTOs, and state regulators to advance projects and resolve regulatory issues.
- Develop business cases, position papers, comments, and regulatory filings as needed.
- Identify regulatory risks and opportunities and communicate impacts to leadership.
