Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in compliance, standards, or policy development and implementation.
- Significant experience in tech, digital platforms, advertising, Trust and Safety, or a related policy function.
- Proven track record of taking complete, reliable ownership of complex policy projects.
- Ability to personally research, draft, implement, and maintain policies autonomously.
- Deep subject matter expertise in advertising or content policy on an international scale.
- Proven track record of working with global teams and advising stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex matters into business terms.
- Exceptional ability to synthesize complex, ambiguous problems into structured decision documents.
Responsibilities
- Own and lead the development, drafting, and maintenance of strategic advertising policies across Reddit's ads products for US and international markets.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams as a senior policy consultant to identify potential policy considerations and embed guardrails during early-stage product development.
- Draft risk assessments and strategic policy recommendations for senior cross-functional leaders and executive stakeholders.
- Act as a role model of Reddit’s Company Values, assisting teammates and providing guidance as a senior peer leader.
- Serve as the decision-maker on highly complex, grey-area ads policy escalations, delivering definitive, risk-balanced rulings on high-impact issues.
