Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university program.
- PE (Professional Engineer’s) License with the ability to become registered in additional states.
- At least 12 years of mechanical engineering experience.
- Proven experience in designing data center facilities.
- Knowledge of HVAC, chilled/condenser water/liquid cooled systems, air handling, and hot/cold aisle containment.
- Experience with utility piping, plumbing systems, and clean/dry rooms.
- Knowledge of relevant local building codes and international standards.
- Proficiency working with Revit.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Valid passport for occasional project-related international travel.
Responsibilities
- Act as a mechanical discipline project lead in a multi-discipline design team, overseeing a multi-location production team.
- Manage technical resources and ensure team performance against contracted scope, schedule, and budget.
- Generate technical project plans, specifications, drawings, and models for HVAC, piping, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Perform quality reviews of deliverables to ensure accuracy and conformance to codes and engineering practices.
- Conduct field verification and site walks to resolve technical design and construction issues.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to less experienced staff.
- Participate in proposal preparation, including scope of services and effort hour estimation.
