Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related engineering discipline, or similar applicable work experience.
- 8+ years of experience in civil engineering design and drafting utilizing AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D.
- Proficiency in the creation of civil land development sheet sets, including grading, site drainage, and access road design.
- Advanced working knowledge of civil engineering principles, standards, codes, and design practices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and independently.
- Ability to identify and solve complex engineering problems.
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and accurate with effective time management skills.
- Professional Civil Engineering (PE) licensure is strongly preferred; multi-state licensure is desirable.
- Prior experience in renewable energy, utility-scale solar, BESS, or infrastructure development is strongly preferred.
- Prior supervisory or managerial experience.
Responsibilities
- Create highly complex civil engineering plans, details, calculations, and documentation including site layouts and designs in AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
- Lead site design, grading, drainage, stormwater management, erosion control, and access roads across multiple projects.
- Oversee project portfolios, coordinating schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
- Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, and specifications for quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
- Act as the main point of contact for project teams, coordinating with clients, permitting authorities, and internal disciplines.
- Supervise, train, and mentor assigned staff engineers.
- Assist upper-level management as a technical specialist or advisor.
