Requirements
- Technical (Engineering or Chemistry) undergraduate degree.
- MBA highly preferred (Experience may be substituted).
- 5-7 years of experience in a chemical or related industry.
- Expertise in Excel for quantitative and analytical work.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to ramp up in multiple areas.
- Ability to synthesize large amounts of data into meaningful conclusions.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams.
- Pro-active mindset in identifying challenges and finding solutions.
- Exceptional ability to co-create and work collectively with various business leaders.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel and prioritize effectively.
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine new business opportunities and provide recommendations to senior management.
- Lead development of market intelligence regarding end markets in the US, Canada, and globally.
- Research the impact of macro trends like technology and regulation on business operations.
- Develop marketing plans and business strategy in collaboration with Business Units.
- Evaluate opportunities for new products in existing markets and entry into new markets.
- Build comprehensive business cases including ROI, P&L projections, and annual budgets.
- Conduct competitive analysis and SWOT assessments.
- Manage the stage-gate process for new products and business opportunities.
- Present market insights, analysis, and growth recommendations to the Senior Leadership Team.
