Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- 3+ years in a Staff-level role or equivalent senior IC capacity with broad scope.
- Proven track record of architecting and shipping scalable systems.
- Strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Docker, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
- Practical experience with security, compliance, SOC2, and vulnerability management.
- Hands-on experience with modern AI-enabled development tools (e.g., Claude Code).
- Experience building or contributing to agentic workflows, MCP servers, or AI-assisted pipelines.
- Proven ability to lead multi-team technical initiatives and influence architectural decisions.
- Strong communication skills with experience writing technical documentation and narratives.
- Genuine interest in people management and coaching other engineers.
Responsibilities
- Set technical direction and shape architecture decisions across multiple platform domains.
- Own complex, ambiguous technical work end-to-end, including service design and large refactors.
- Lead the design and adoption of agentic engineering workflows and internal AI frameworks.
- Directly manage two mid-level engineers, overseeing their growth, performance, and development.
- Serve as a senior technical authority for security, compliance, and SOC2 requirements.
- Mentor engineers across the organization through pairing, code review, and technical critique.
