Requirements
- Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end India payroll.
- Strong knowledge of payroll best practices, statutory requirements, and compliance processes.
- Expertise in reconciliations, payroll controls, and data quality processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for investigating and resolving payroll issues.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with payroll platforms and India payroll systems (e.g., GreytHR).
- Understanding of payroll KPIs, SLAs, and operational reporting.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as an individual contributor in an asynchronous environment.
- Experience mentoring or supporting other payroll professionals is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full end-to-end payroll cycle, including processing, statutory filings, exceptions, approvals, and payments.
- Act as the country payroll subject matter expert, providing guidance and operational expertise.
- Ensure payroll data accuracy, integrity, and quality standards.
- Prepare and review payroll journals, reconciliations, and financial information.
- Monitor payroll KPIs and SLAs to identify operational gaps and maintain service standards.
- Identify opportunities to simplify and automate payroll processes for operational efficiency.
- Mentor and support other payroll specialists by promoting best practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Payroll, Finance, Product, and Engineering teams.
