Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SCOM in enterprise-scale monitoring environments.
- Demonstrated expertise with SCOM 2016, 2019, and/or 2022.
- Experience designing and customizing Management Packs, including monitors, rules, discoveries, and dashboards.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS, SQL Server, and Azure services.
- Practical experience monitoring Linux/Unix systems through SCOM.
- Strong PowerShell scripting and automation capabilities.
- Experience managing large-scale environments with thousands of monitored devices.
- Understanding of ITIL processes and operational service management principles.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Design, architect, deploy, and administer Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) solutions for enterprise environments.
- Lead end-to-end SCOM implementations, including planning, installation, configuration, migration, upgrades, and ongoing administration.
- Develop monitoring strategies and implement proactive monitoring for Windows Server, Linux, VMware, SQL Server, Active Directory, and Azure.
- Develop custom monitoring solutions using PowerShell, WMI, SNMP, and scripting technologies.
- Perform SCOM patching, health checks, performance tuning, and preventive maintenance.
- Integrate SCOM with ticketing and ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow.
- Prepare technical documentation, operational runbooks, and knowledge-transfer materials.
