Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
- 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or related complex commercial environments.
- 5+ years of experience as a first-line sales manager with demonstrated commercial leadership.
- Proven ability to drive sales performance and lead cross-functional initiatives in matrixed organizations.
- Track record of attracting, developing, and retaining diverse talent.
- Experience developing business/incentive plans and managing budgets.
- Ability to reside within the assigned region or within reasonable commuting distance of a metropolitan airport.
- Willingness to travel approximately 60–80% of the time, including air travel.
- Fully valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
- Second-line sales leadership experience preferred.
- Experience in market access, reimbursement, or specialty pharmacy is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Build and lead diverse, high-performing field teams through effective talent acquisition, development, and performance management.
- Deliver regional sales targets while establishing a strong cadence of accountability through KPI monitoring and performance discussions.
- Develop and execute regional business plans centered on customer needs in coordination with Area Business Leaders.
- Guide regional resource and budget allocation to optimize face-to-face and omnichannel engagement.
- Partner across functions like Marketing, Medical, and Market Access to address commercial priorities and strengthen customer engagement.
- Use analytics and business intelligence platforms to guide decisions and improve regional performance.
