Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agricultural Business, Business Management, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in fertilizer, crop nutrition, crop protection, biologicals, seed, agribusiness, or related agricultural input sales.
- At least 5 years managing sales teams, with a track record of building high-performing teams and developing talent.
- Proven success developing regional or national sales strategies and driving revenue growth.
- Strong understanding of retail distribution models, agricultural input markets, and channel management.
- Financial acumen including budget management, profitability assessment, and ROI analysis.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, Salesforce, CRM platforms, and sales analytics.
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 50–60%.
- Exceptional presentation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Self-directed and organized with an execution-focused mindset.
Responsibilities
- Manage, coach, and develop a geographically dispersed team of Retail Sales Managers and Specialists.
- Develop and execute short- and long-term sales strategies aligned with organizational growth objectives.
- Lead customer engagement, demand-generation, and business development activities for Performance Products and Bioscience solutions.
- Build and strengthen relationships with major retail, distribution, and grower accounts.
- Establish efficient workflows, account-planning processes, and sales-management practices using Salesforce and CRM platforms.
- Oversee regional budgets, evaluate profitability and ROI, and develop business cases.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, agronomy, and supply chain teams to coordinate regional initiatives.
