Requirements
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- 2+ years of experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Manager.
- Hands-on ownership of a full close cycle.
- Strong US GAAP knowledge, specifically ASC 606 revenue recognition.
- Experience with multi-entity consolidation, intercompany eliminations, and foreign currency translation.
- Proven experience building processes in a startup or high-growth company.
- Working knowledge of US federal, state, and local tax compliance.
- Advanced modeling and reconciliation skills in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Proficiency with accounting systems like NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or QuickBooks.
- Clear written communication skills for explaining technical positions.
Responsibilities
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process end to end.
- Maintain the general ledger, chart of accounts, and accounting policies.
- Manage technical accounting including ASC 606 revenue recognition and multi-entity consolidation.
- Build and enforce internal controls appropriate for the company's growth stage.
- Prepare the company for external audits and manage auditor relationships.
- Oversee tax compliance, including federal, state, and international obligations.
- Improve the accounting tech stack and lead ERP migrations.
- Partner with leadership on financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
