Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years' hands-on, operational experience within Insurance Broking Accounts (IBA).
- Strong experience within the reinsurance broking market.
- Excellent understanding of premium accounting, cash allocation and reconciliations.
- Proven experience in credit control and debt management.
- Strong understanding of broking accounting processes and financial controls.
- Ability to work effectively between Finance and Operations teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail with high levels of accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial systems.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end hands-on management of Insurance Broking Accounts (IBA).
- Act as the primary liaison between Finance, broking and Client Solutions to ensure efficient processing of financial transactions.
- Monitor and manage collections, ensuring timely receipt of funds from clients and brokers.
- Allocate incoming cash accurately across multiple accounts and transactions.
- Perform regular account reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Lead credit control activities, proactively managing aged debt and improving cash collection performance.
- Produce management information and reports relating to aged debt, cash allocation, reconciliations and outstanding balances.
- Ensure compliance with FCA CASS rules, internal controls and company policies.
