Requirements
- Portfolio of original illustration work showing a cute, playful, kid-friendly or product-design sensibility.
- Working proficiency in Adobe Illustrator for native illustration.
- Ability to match and extend an existing art style.
- Strong ability to take written and verbal creative direction and turn it into finished work.
- Reliability on deadlines while managing several pieces at once.
- Experience preparing print / production files to spec (nice-to-have).
- Familiarity with the children's, educational, or consumer-product space (nice-to-have).
- Comfort with project tools like Notion and ClickUp (nice-to-have).
Responsibilities
- Create new artwork and complete sets in Hadley Designs' established style across product lines.
- Draw and illustrate original elements like characters, motifs, patterns, and scenes.
- Turn concepts and creative direction from the CCO into finished, production-ready product designs.
- Execute variations and build-outs for full product sets.
- Prepare print and production files to spec, and build mockups and product previews for listings.
- Maintain style consistency across the full product set and update the style-reference as the catalog grows.
