Requirements
- 12+ years of experience across product and product leadership roles, preferably at early to mid-stage software companies.
- Proven track record of building and growing products from zero to meaningful adoption.
- Exceptional product judgment and the ability to define a narrow, high-impact workflow.
- Technical fluency to collaborate directly with engineers and researchers on architecture, model behavior, latency, and reliability.
- Deep understanding of AI-native product realities including probabilistic behavior, evaluation design, and privacy constraints.
- Strong growth instinct with experience designing loops for activation, retention, and monetization.
- Experience building and leading early-stage, high-performing teams.
- Ability to communicate effectively across research, engineering, design, and GTM teams.
Responsibilities
- Set the strategy for TwelveLabs' application layer: which users and workflows to serve, what to build, and what not to build.
- Find a focused wedge through direct customer discovery, rapid prototyping, and disciplined market testing.
- Ship opinionated, AI-native applications for non-technical users on top of core models and infrastructure.
- Define application-specific evals, task-success criteria, reliability thresholds, and launch guardrails.
- Own the full outcome of the applications, including activation, engagement, retention, monetization, and customer value.
- Act as a demanding internal customer for platform and model teams to define necessary APIs, latency, and quality.
- Recruit and lead a lean and high-performing team from idea to production.
- Establish a culture of speed, craft, and direct user contact.
