Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- 5+ years of experience shipping modern web applications with Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
- Strong understanding of API design and client-server responsibility boundaries.
- Experience writing automated tests using tools like Jest, Playwright, or Vitest.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines.
- Professional experience with CMS tools and strategy, such as Contentful or Sanity.
- Professional experience with A/B testing and analytics platforms like Optimizely, LaunchDarkly, or Amplitude.
- Professional experience with server-side programming languages such as Ruby on Rails or Python.
- Familiarity with caching, static, and dynamic rendering modes in Next.js.
- Background in consumer subscription or e-commerce platforms (Shopify preferred).
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and optimize primary web applications and APIs for global e-commerce and digital parent experiences.
- Create scalable CMS models and configuration systems that evolve with the product roadmap.
- Partner with Product, Design, and Mobile teams to ship features supporting the customer journey.
- Own security, reliability, and performance of the frontend stack for a global audience.
- Evaluate new vendors and platforms to guide technical direction and internal vs third-party integration decisions.
- Refine technical standards, development workflows, and team-wide best practices.
- Utilize AI coding tools and AI-assisted workflows to accelerate development while maintaining high code quality.
- Iterate on CI/CD pipelines and Vercel cloud infrastructure for high-velocity delivery.
- Mentor team members and foster a collaborative engineering culture.
