Requirements
- Doctoral-level degree in life sciences (PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent).
- 5-7+ years of experience in a medical communications agency.
- Extensive medical writing and scientific content development experience.
- Deep therapeutic area expertise.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat.
- Experience with reference management tools such as EndNote.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and lead cross-functional teams.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to communicate confidently with senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Set strategic direction for scientific content to ensure alignment with client objectives, brand strategy, and medical priorities.
- Provide senior-level oversight and final accountability for the quality, accuracy, and consistency of all deliverables.
- Guide cross-functional teams in interpreting complex clinical data and translating insights into differentiated scientific communications.
- Serve as a senior scientific partner to clients, leading scientific discussions and building collaborative stakeholder relationships.
- Oversee large accounts or groups of accounts, managing timelines, budgets, resource requirements, and operational consistency.
- Lead, inspire, and mentor scientific teams, addressing performance, career development, and workload distribution.
