Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance or software testing.
- Experience developing and executing software test cases and test scripts.
- Experience documenting and tracking software defects.
- Experience performing functional and regression testing within enterprise software environments.
- Experience collaborating with developers and Business Analysts throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Experience testing Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or other Federal healthcare applications (preferred).
- Experience testing VistA applications or familiarity with MUMPS-based systems (preferred).
- Knowledge of PII/PHI handling requirements, HIPAA, NIST security controls, or VA privacy requirements (preferred).
- Experience with automated testing tools or techniques (preferred).
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements, user stories, and technical designs to identify testing needs.
- Develop detailed test cases, scripts, and scenarios.
- Execute functional, integration, regression, and User Acceptance Testing.
- Validate removal or replacement of SSN data and verify enterprise identifier implementation.
- Perform manual and automated testing.
- Document and track software defects through investigation and resolution.
- Collaborate with developers and Business Analysts to reproduce issues.
- Maintain traceability between requirements and test results.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning and daily stand-ups.
