Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in public practice, with a focus on Australian tax and business services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Completed or currently working towards CA/CPA qualification.
- Strong knowledge of Australian tax, including preparation of high-level tax returns, BAS, FBT, and Payroll Tax.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- Strong Xero and Microsoft Excel skills.
- Confidence in learning new applications.
- Experience with HandiLedger and BGL is highly regarded.
Responsibilities
- Prepare annual financial statements and Australian tax returns for individuals, trusts, partnerships, companies and SMSFs.
- Prepare BAS and IAS, including supporting reconciliations and workpapers.
- Maintain clear digital workpapers, respond to review points and keep allocated jobs progressing towards completion.
- Assist with bookkeeping, payroll, TPAR, FBT, Payroll Tax and tax planning requirements.
- Communicate with clients as required to gather information and resolve queries.
